30 Irish Fiddle Tunes – Vol IIrishfiddle.ie and Paul McNevin present vol.1 – 30 Irish Fiddle Tunes. These are a collection of tunes I teach and very much suitable for those learning and wanting to improve their standard. Many of these tunes are taught through Paul’s music lessons in Dublin. There are elements of the tunes which will help the learner to improve, these include getting used to finger patterns, playing indifferent keys, double string finger positioning and getting used to the bowing angle of the various strings. For learners of Irish fiddle music polkas, single jigs with simple, lyrical melodies are a good place to start. Most of these tunes will be suitable for beginner/intermediate level. This collection of music does not include ornamentation or bowing. |

30 Irish Fiddle Tunes – Vol IIIrishfiddle.ie presents 30 tunes from Paul Mcnevin. This music was specially chosen by Paul, many of which are fiddle classics. This collection includes ornamentation bowing suitable for intermediate and advanced players. Hopefully you gain as much pleasure playing these tunes as I did writing them. Some tunes have more ornamentation than others, this is because I felt the tune didn’t warrant it and less was better than more on occasions. Some of the ornamentation is influenced from Irish Uilleann Piping for which I have a great admiration and from banjo playing which I grew up listening to a lot of. Musescore tip: press F11 in musescore, this will bring up the tempo panel. |
